About Us

Eyemetric Identity Systems is a spin-off company of New Jersey Business
Systems Inc, specializing in biometric-based identification systems. NJBS
has been providing technology solutions since 1968. NJBS has operated in
Mercer County since 1986 and is currently located in Robbinsville, New
Jersey. NJBS has been a State Contract Approved Vendor since 1997 on the
state's Mini-Micro Computer Term Contract. We currently provide solutions
and a variety of services to numerous government departments and agencies.

Eyemetric successfully implemented the nation's first iris recognition-based
identity system in a public school district. This project included an entry
access control system that covered three school buildings and the
development of a software application called T-PASS (Teacher-Parent
Authentication Security System). The T-PASS application was created to
provide a secure means to match children with their parent or guardian when
a child was signed out of school. All participants in the grant study were
enrolled into the iris database. When a parent/guardian came to the school
to remove a child from school, their identity was verified via an iris scan.

The iris project was completed through funding provided by a grant issued by
the National Institute of Justice. The primary goal of the grant was not to
test the accuracy of iris technology; that has been independently proven.
The goal was to study "John Q. Public's" feelings towards the use of iris
technology in a public environment. The independent evaluator, Dr. Craig
Uchida, President of Justice & Security Strategies, Inc. assigned to the
project, reported that, "This project was completed on time, within budget
and without problems. The parents' and staff's acceptance of the technology
exceeded my initial expectations" The success and national recognition of
this project was the motivating factor in forming Eyemetric Identity
Systems.
