EDUCATION: Bachelor of Commerce 1978, Admitted to membership of Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants in 1992.

PROFILE: I will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to your business. I’m a qualified accountant and a professional with over 30 years experience in finance related positions. Prior to 2006, my career was in practice, opening my own accountancy practice in 1997. Most recently I held the position of Operations and Finance Manager in Equita Consulting Ltd. I have also held positions as a non-executive Director of Bus Eireann and was a council member of CERT during the transition to Failte Ireland.

During my time in practice I learned the skills and qualities necessary to support the business owners of small and medium sized enterprises and ensure compliance with all regulations while managing a busy practice, mentoring trainee accountants and maintaining a constant, achieving workforce. The success of my business, the expertise provided, the respect gained and the level of commitment delivered to clients was evidenced by the large rate of repeat work and referral.

From 2006, I gained wide experience through a variety of finance roles in industry including companies involved in construction, health & safety training, and latterly, executive training and bullying and harassment investigations. My time in industry has exposed me to the dynamics of a variety of companies including a rapidly growing organisation, a company in the process of a buyout and large corporate business. I have excellent knowledge of business management, people management, client management and regulatory compliance and in-depth experience of the day to day challenges encountered in these environments. I have experience working with diverse business clients, I am results driven and work to the highest possible operational standards.

Having lived abroad for a number of years I understand the complexity of trying to manage your affairs from afar.
