Over the past 4 to 5 years ( I am 71 years old this 2023 ) I have continually emphasized "simplifying AND uncomplicating" my life. I have taken actions to achieve this goal. Contacting CBT Technology Management Group to "clean up" my home office network is a prime example to my success. For over 19 years I enjoyed a small business, which I operated out of my home, while also enjoying my personal interests. Lucky me. I purposefully separated the biz from the personal. Last week I contacted Sarah @ CBT to arrange for one of her computer software techies to make an onsite visit - the purpose, consolidate application functionality, remove obsolete biz logins while maintaining access to some of these well used tools using my more personal login identifiers. My home network consists of tower workstation, laptop, modem wifi router connectivity throughout, HP printer, Android cell phone, Epson scanner, and WD hard drive storage. James Doll with CBT arrived on time per my scheduling call days earlier, I explained the above, and presented my goal of a clean home network infrastructure where from cell, or workstation, or laptop - they all "talk" to each other using synced applications with personalized logins ( no more biz backups, ID, cross-overs ). With almost 20 years of online & intra-networking, cleaning out the obsolete took patience, time and James' familiarity of the programs that were being consolidated. Granted, Microsoft's Authenticator helped push me over my comfort zone . . . okay full disclosure, "I really do not want to learn anything new at this time." Keep It Simple is working in my life. James achieved those goals, we reviewed each "major" change, checked and tested the communication connectivity, and tested again. Fortunately my "new" home network is really basic & simple. Yet I know having worked in the client server computer world prior to the "dot com bubble" that I might discover "ah, another glitch . . . "!!! WITHOUT HESITATION I will be calling CBT and schedule an appointment, this new glitch will be identified and corrected, and life goes on . . . until Microsoft, or Google, Android, or whomever decides to "automatically" update their infrastructure and push me into the swimming pool again . . . sincerely, a very satisfied client . . . con una sonrisa Tony Fryer
