a frustrating one to be sure. While we didn't end up swapping out his CMOS battery, the issue does seem to have resolved itself. Moving forward, if he runs into the same issue of the TZ just not staying where it should be, we'll switch it to not auto-update & just manually set it as needed. Thank you again for all of the help!
