Maurice determined the root cause of the problem setting up Al Smith's mailbox in Outlook on his Surface as being the fact that his Surface was running an old version of the Windows 10 OS, not working with the Autodiscover process. After upgrading to version 1803, as he suggested, I was able to set up his Office 365 mailbox with no problem. Maurice communicated regularly and effectively throughout the process and that allowed us to keep the end user up to date on the status of the case.
