The tech was helpful trying to troubleshoot, however after 20 minutes he stated he didn't think he could help further and that he didn't want to try putting the printer on the network.
I questioned this, and asked why he wouldn't try putting it on the network while I had him on the phone. He then pout the printer on the network. The tech also requested I unplug USB cords, however with our work station having many I told him I personally wasn't comfortable tracing USB's and unplugging. I find the techs ask a lot of questions that internally we are unable to provide information that I feel they should have access to. I was unaware of whether my printer was on the network or not and the tech didn't know either.
I don't know the typical response time to a ticket, but this took 2.5 days to be addressed and it is a device that is used daily.
