Welcome to SafeView HLR! My name is Greg, I am a former
Automotive Technician located out of Middletown, NJ. I am proud to present to

nothing but, Headlight Decoloring/Hazing and Replacement.

Why should you even buff the Headlights?
It’s easy, to restore the natural appearance of the plastic
to Maximize the LUX output for General Safety while driving at night. On Forbes
2016, an IIHS result found that 6.6 people are killed between 5PM-7PM. This is
due an influx of traffic during these, “Rush Hours”, with millions of drivers
on the road at once. Those rates seem to be the highest while doing, “Day
Driving”, but for, “Night Driving”, between the hours of Midnight-4AM have the
highest number of fatalities when calculated with much lesser vehicles on the
road. 5.87 people per million will be killed on the road during these late
night hours.

What is the Yellow Haze that develops on the
Headlights?
The lens of a Headlight becomes Dull or Discolored due to
multiple reasons. The primary suspect being the Sun producing UV light causing
UV Degradation. There are other factors that may come into play as well. Some
states like Arizona or Florida may be affected less than others such as New
Jersey, or New York whom each year use a large amount of Calcium-Chloride for
Winter Storms. Road Debris, Acidic Rain, and exposure to Caustic Chemicals
could help develop the Yellow Haze over time, if untreated.

Why can’t I just buy the Headlight Restoration
Kits in the local store?
Unfortunately, these kits are just too basic to actually
extract the Yellow Haze particles from the Headlights surface. It’s okay to use
for a new vehicle for maintenance, but other than that, it will not permanently
removed the Haze. A professional will be able to take care of that for you
though!
