Patient-centered care with a focus on saving natural teeth
Gum disease is one of the leading causes of tooth loss. Traditional periodontal treatment often involves deep cleanings, surgery, bone grafting, and, in severe cases, tooth extraction. Surgical treatment usually requires opening the infected gum tissue, removing diseased tissue and deep infection with dental instruments, and then suturing the area closed. Because the surgical site is larger, recovery and healing can take significantly longer.
Dr. Song takes a different approach. He is committed to putting patients first and doing everything possible to save natural teeth. Extraction and dental implants are considered only when absolutely necessary. In his view, no artificial tooth can truly replace a natural one.
