About Us

The Italian word “MODA”means “latest style or fashion”

Since 1995 Moda Hair Salon’s stylists have strived for exactly that, keeping our clientele up to date in the latest styles for hair. In keeping with this philosophy, we also provide you with Aveda products, a hair and skin care line that is also in keeping with the latest trends.

Moda Hair Salon has been selling Aveda products for over 10 years. Aveda’s concept is to care for the earth and protect the environment.

Aveda’s vision is “connecting beauty, environment, and well being.” We strongly agree with this philosophy and in the last few years have become exclusive to the Aveda product, becoming an “Aveda Concept Salon” ourselves.

Please know that we gladly take appointments and walk-ins. Feel free to stop in and visit our salon located on Easton Avenue in the heart of New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Sally began her styling career at the young age of 13, while working at her uncle’s beauty salon in Puerto Rico.
She fell in love with the art of hair once she noticed the power of styling hair and how it improved peoples self-esteem.
As a graduate of the Aveda Institute of New York City, she went to work for the Ricardo Rojas Salon New York City location. During this period, she styled for celebrities, models and fashion shows.
Sally has been an employee at Moda Hair Salon for 7 years now. Even though she spends half her time freelancing for herself and styles in NYC, Moda hair salon is still her home where she takes her loyal clientele who love her and are always eager to catch an appointment.
She is well known for her “Beachy balayage blonding” color technique, hair extensions, high fashion haircuts and styles for weddings.
Sally takes great pride in what she does. Her love for making women feel good is what keeps her motivated and inspired. Her goal is to transform everyday women who sit in her chair, into their own inner superstars.

Janet specializes in hair coloring, styling and design.  With 7 years of professional experience Janet began working at Moda Hair Salon in June 2010.  Experienced  in her craft, Janet works with all hair types, color, cuts, formal styling, makeup and hair extension such as fusion and sew-ins.
In this industry you can never stop learning, and Janet furthers her education through many different Aveda classes, learning and keeping up with the trends.
She looks forward to providing her clients with hairstyling that fits their individual lifestyle.  There is nothing she likes more than helping to transform someone with a new cut, color, or style.

My wife had Tanya do her hair as well as her bridesmaids. Not bad , but a bit conservative.
