The goal of our equity discipline is to consistently outperform the S&P 500 index annually, with equal or less risk than the index. Our fixed income approach is designed to generate stable income returns with minimal volatility. Combining the two approaches into a balanced portfolio allows clients the opportunity to earn the higher returns generated by the equity market and current income from the bond market. Including bonds in a portfolio reduces the portfolio volatility during periods of weakness in the equity market.
