White Russian nobility escaping the Bolshevik revolution Jewish scholars fleeing pograms in Europe and traders of questionable repute from all over the world came to the city called "Paris of the East" to make their fortune. Gangsters openly ruled and opium was available by room service at all the fine hotels. We've taken some liberties with the menu and decor and hope that you appreciate the lure of Shanghai as well.
