Our Salon and Stylists are certified Brazilian Blowout Smoothing and Anti-Frizz Hair Treatment specialists.

Mystique is part of a limited group of salons around the world offering Aveda, Bb, DevaCurl and Moroccan Oil products with our services and shares a vision for a strong hairdressing culture. We were a group of 6 people needing blow dries and haircuts in preparation for a wedding reception that same evening. 2 of the 6 people were from out of town and not familiar with the area and were quite late arriving as they got lost. Obviously, this posed a problem for the reception/front desk, who were visibly concerned about the situation but they did remain polite and professional even though the 2 late people were throwing off their schedule for the day. Ultimately, 4 of the 6 people in our party were satisfied with their stylists, who were Nancy and Megan, However, there were 2 that had blow dries done that were extremely dissatisfied because the stylist Olivia because she wasn't cordial, accommodating and frankly, didn't seem willing to deliver any service that required too much effort or time. Both of her customers requested "volume" in the roots with blow dries that were straightened and curled in at the bottom. But, both ended up with flat hair that was weighed down by way too much product. On top of that, it was extremely difficult to communicate with Olivia since she was clearly not happy to be working that day - it was such a drag to have to pay someone who is completely unenthusiastic to do the work. We all understood that the lateness of the 2 of the 6 people in group was a major inconvenience but it was clear that the reception was communicating frustration with the stylists, and Olivia, in turn, passed that disrespect to us. It's a shame because this salon has a great location and uses excellent products. The two haircut/hair styles/blow dries done by Nancy and Megan were really very good but we had to scale down this review to an average because Olivia's service and mannerisms were so subpar. It's very depressing to pay someone our hard-earned money, find out that they are clearly disinterested in delivering what you are asking them to. I think the Salon Management should strongly consider retraining Olivia and also work on the Front Desk reception in keeping a happy face and positive attitude when faced with difficult situations. Going to the Salon should be a stress-free relaxing experience, you want to feel as if you are in good, experienced hands who can handle anything that comes their way - I can definitely say that all of us didn't leave Mystique feeling that way.
