I'm not a techie. Actually, I got started using technology as a recruiter/manager/trainer for one of the largest financial service companies in the nation, New York Life Insurance Company. There I learned that throwing millions of dollars into software is wasted without planning and training to make the technology work.
After New York Life, I moved on to work for one of the nation's largest information technology companies, Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as a systems administrator. There, I realized that even the biggest and best companies still often know very little about their clients and how they work.
These experiences prompted me to found MME. My focus with MME is to recognize that the client is the expert on how to run their business. I ask questions, then shut up and listen. Most technology fails due to lack of training for the end user. Training and follow-up with your staff insures that your firm gets real, measurable results from your technology plan.
