The Sales Performance Company was founded in 2012 by Stuart Allen FCMI FInstSMM but the ‘roots’ of the company were formed during the previous 30 years. Son of an antique dealer (more Lovejoy than Henry Sandon) Stuart was indoctrinated into the world of buying & selling at a very early age. He dropped out of college at 17 after just three weeks to take up his first sales role as a field sales rep with the Birmingham Post & Mail.
In the mid 1980′s Stuart joined financial services company General Portfolio and after just two years he was appointed a regional sales manager responsible for 120 staff across two offices, with a combined turnover of £5M. Not bad considering he was still just 21. It was whilst with General Portfolio that he developed a keen interest in sales training. Over the years that interest grew into a passion (some might say obsession).
Stuart does whatever he can to promote the ‘sales profession’ as a career choice and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM) and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). He wrote and teaches an Advanced Apprenticeship in Professional Selling Skills delivered by QA Apprenticeships (designated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted).
