About Pelican Institute for Public Policy
The Pelican Institute is a Louisiana-based non-profit dedicated to addressing barriers to opportunity in the state. We educate the public on the benefits of individual liberty and free enterprise, turning ideas into impactful policy solutions. Our mission is to create a freer, more prosperous future for Louisianans by conducting research, storytelling, persuasion, litigation, and training community leaders to advocate for policies that promote opportunity and human flourishing. We aim to remove government overreach and ensure policies create lasting change. Also, we operate without government funding, relying on partnerships that share our vision for a better state. We believe that every Louisianan should have the opportunity to flourish.
